About Us
The mission of the Healthcare Club is to provide a forum for students to learn about the business of healthcare, to interact with other students who are interested in healthcare, and to meet with leaders and key decision makers in the healthcare industry.

Selected member spotlights:
Lauren Margulies
Education: Amherst College, Amherst, MA, BA 2001; Columbia University, New York, NY, Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program, 2002-2004
Work Experience: Lauren worked at the Center for Global Health and Economic Development at the Earth Institute at Columbia University from 2004-2007. She spent 2006 in Rwanda where she coordinated the Access Project, focused on creating and implementing an affordable model for quality healthcare delivery that is currently being replicated throughout the country.
Extracurriculars: Member of Healthcare Club, Africa Business Association, Social Enterprise Club.
Max Seel
Education:
Union College, Schenectady, NY, English/Classics/Premed, 2005
Work Experience: For the past two years prior to HBS, Max worked as a Cell Biologist at General Electric’s Global Research Center. His main role was idea generation and experimentation in the area of advanced technology molecular medicine for healthcare businesses. Max spent nine months in an internal engineering program gaining breadth in different approaches to solving medical problems. Prior to GE, he was an undergraduate research fellow in analytical chemistry, and a personal aide to a retired professor with Parkinson’s disease.
Extracurriculars: New Center/Right Wing, B-School Blades; Member, Healthcare Club; Nominee, GE Whitney Club Community Service Committee.
Felix Matthews
Education:
University of Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland, Medical License, 2000, MD, 2001
Work Experience: Felix has five years experience in general and trauma surgery. His clinical research focuses on technology integration and has been published in renowned medical journals (see a list). Felix headed a two-year Swiss Innovation Agency project targeted at optimizing in-hospital workflow in trauma patient care. Concurrently, Felix runs a startup company that develops customized medical IT solutions.
Extracurriculars: Member of Healthcare Club, Entrepreneurship Club and Christian Fellowship.
